Wendy Buckley

Community Education Co-ordinator

About me

Wendy joined Dementia Jersey in September 2018. Her focus is working within the community running workshops, delivering talks or training sessions to raise awareness of dementia and the work of our charity.

Her awareness talks have taken her into a number of financial institutions, retail and utility companies as well as clubs, associations and meeting groups such as the WI.

Wendy is also a Dementia Friends Champion and delivers the Dementia Friends Information Sessions to a wide range of audiences.

What I Love about my job

Dementia Jersey is a such worthwhile charity and I am proud to be part of the team helping to raise awareness and improve understanding of dementia throughout Jersey, thereby making Jersey a more dementia friendly island. I find it so rewarding being out in the community meeting so many people who are interested in finding out more about dementia.
