Aurélie Boas
Counsellor and Dementia Advisor
About me
Born and raised in Bordeaux, I studied in Paris and became a video journalist. A job I did in the Middle East, Nepal and London, working mostly for charities and the UN. I moved to Jersey in 2016, retrained as a counsellor at Highlands and did my placement with Dementia Jersey.
What I love about my job
As a counsellor, I have the privilege of supporting not only people living with dementia but also their carers. I try to offer a safe, compassionate space where they can express their emotions freely, be themselves, and share their experiences without judgement. It is very fulfilling to help people navigate such difficult times, providing an outlet to process their feelings feel stronger. What I love most about my work is witnessing the courage and resilience of those I support.

I have a unquenching love for nature and do my Wordle most mornings. I am also a proud ambassador of Jersey Hospice.
