Dementia Support and Advice

The Dementia Advice team offer a range of support options including a drop-in service, private appointments and support groups.

Our Dementia Advisors are trained, experienced professionals and are knowledgeable about all aspects of dementia including the types and symptoms, health services in Jersey, Social Security benefits, the Long-Term Care Scheme, Powers of Attorney, capacity and much more.

The Dementia Advisors can provide you with useful information, help you understand the condition better and offer suggestions for how to support or care for someone with dementia. We can also signpost you to other sources of help or support.

Drop-in service

Our drop-in service is available for both people with dementia and their family and friends. Our Dementia Advisors are usually able to see people for a brief chat without an appointment at our office during office opening hours, however it might be necessary for you to make an appointment for another time.

Private Appointments

Sometimes it is a bit easier to talk privately and at greater length, so our Dementia Advisors are happy to arrange private meetings with you to talk through any difficulties you may be experiencing. This may be for yourself if you have dementia, or if you are supporting or caring for someone else with dementia. You can attend these meetings by yourself, or with another person if this would be helpful for you. They can be held at our offices, online via Zoom or at your home, whichever it more convenient.

There is no charge for this service. To arrange an appointment please Tel 01534 723519, email info@dementia.je or book an appointment below.
