About me
Roz joined Dementia Jersey in April 2025 as a Dementia Advisor.
Before joining Dementia Jersey, my previous work has been mainly software training. for the past 12 years, I’ve been a Software Trainer for a local training company, teaching both in-person and remote lessons on how to effectively use Microsoft and other applications. Those attending our sessions ranged from job seekers to corporate professionals.
Having two immediate family members living with dementia has had a big impact on my family. The challenges we’ve faced together navigating Power of Attorney, Long Term Care and the care sector alongside the emotional impact have encouraged me to pursue a meaningful career where I can support others as they navigate their own journeys.
What I love about my job
I enjoy being part of the fantastic team at Dementia Jersey, working in a positive and fun environment. I love connecting and listening to people about their lives and journeys. If I can support and help them in any way it will be very rewarding.
Did you know
I love sea swimming and swim all year round here in Jersey. It’s a fantastic way to unwind and connect with nature. I’m excited to be participating in a round island relay swim in July this year for the first time – as long as it’s not too windy! I spend a lot of time with my family and friends and enjoy heading off on trips in the campervan. My latest challenge is learning Italian.
