Dementia Support Line
Splashchat is a weekly social swimming group jointly run by the Occupational Therapists, the Memory Assessment Service (MAS), Dementia Jersey and the AquaSplash.
A 30 minute swim is followed by the opportunity to join the Coffee and Connect group directly after.
David Steer attends SplashChat on a Tuesday morning. Swimming has always been David’s favourite form of exercise and says having the opportunity to attend a swim club with Dementia Jersey is brilliant. He especially enjoys the fact he can get a lane to swim in all to himself!
A short telephone and pool side assessment is required before you dive right in. Please contact Dementia Jersey to arrange this – 01534 723519.

- You have to have a formal diagnosis of dementia to attend activities.
- All our activities are run by our wonderful volunteers, so we ask that the person with dementia be accompanied with someone to support them, be that a family member or a carer, unless agreed otherwise.
- A simple mobility assessment is required before attending SplashChat.
