We are holding an Evening Meeting for Carers at Osprey House on Wednesday and we would be delighted if you could join us.
Some of the most valuable support we receive in life comes from others who have experienced life events similar to our own. Dementia Jersey offers different opportunities for people to meet for mutual support and encouragement and to share knowledge and experiences.

We’ve just received some photos from Roy and his friends who have cycled between Lands End and John O`Groats, cycling almost 1200 miles over the last three weeks.
So far, the group have raised over £2,000 for Dementia Jersey. Huge thank you and well done to Roy and his friends for choosing to raise money to support the work we do. We`re so grateful 💜

Learn facts about dementia and get some helpful tips to support people living with the condition. You`ll also earn your Dementia Friends badge!

Our official Memory Walk is taking place this Sunday 22nd September 🚶🏽♀️💜 Online registration is now closed but you can sign up on the day.
- £15 per adult and £10 per child
- 5k walk from La Frigate to St Aubin
- Arrive 10.15am at La Frigate for a prompt 10.30am start
This flat 5k walk is for all ages and abilities to unite together to raise awareness and funds to help support the 1,600 islanders with dementia, their carers, and their family. Although traditionally a walk, you are more than welcome to run, jog or cycle. Pets are very welcome too!

What a team 🫶🏽 We’re absolutely blown away by our Kilimanjaro trekkers! 🏔️ These amazing individuals pushed themselves to the limit to conquer the highest peak in Africa. The support they showed for each other along the way and their determination is truly inspiring. It’s safe to say this trip was a special one for the group.
Huge thank you to our @discover.adventure Leader, Duncan, and doctor, Martin, and of course to the heroes from @ahsantetours who make it all possible and looked after our trekkers so well. The group are in awe of what you do.
Our trekkers have raised an incredible £34,000 so far. The trip itself was self funded by the trekkers so all their fundraising efforts will go towards supporting people in Jersey living with dementia.
Thank you so much to our trekkers and to everyone who has kindly donated towards the challenge. Your efforts will help us make Jersey a more dementia-friendly island for everyone. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

Our group of 18 trekkers ready to embark on their Kilimanjaro adventure 🏔️✨

This wonderful painting is part of the collection from our `Our Day Out` exhibition which is taking place this Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, 10am-4pm at Greve de Lecq Barracks
The exhibition is in collaboration with ArtHouse Jersey and showcases the talented work from our Art Exploration groups. The artwork reflects memories from their past as well as from a recent group excursion to the Pallot Steam Motor Museum.
The artist of this painting comments: "When I was 19 and commuting to work on my scooter I would have a view of Mount Kilimanjaro on one side and Mount Kenya on the other. This memory was bought back to me when Dementia Jersey announced they were going to climb Kilimanjaro this September."
If you`re free this weekend, please pop along to our exhibition and enjoy the wonderful art. We`ll be offering teas, coffees, and cakes for a small donation.

Exciting News! We`re Moving!
After spending some time in our temporary premises, we`re thrilled to announce that we`ve found our forever home! In November, we`ll be moving to 74 Halkett Place (AKA the old Jersey Mutual building), opposite Bean Around the World, near the library.
Our new office will feature a dedicated reception area, a fancy new coffee machine, counselling rooms, meeting rooms, and plenty of space for everyone. We`re excited to welcome more people for dementia advice and support while continuing to offer activities in various locations around the island.

‘OUR DAY OUT’ DEMENTIA JERSEY POP UP EXHIBITION AT GREVE DE LECQ BARRACKS!
We`re thrilled to announce our `Our Day Out` exhibition, in collaboration with @arthousejersey, which is taking place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2024.
This charming exhibition showcases the talented work of participants from our Art Exploration groups. The artwork in the exhibition is inspired by the group`s excursion to the Pallot Steam & Motor Museum in Trinity in June. Their artwork reflects the memories and emotions evoked by their day out and other cherished outings from their past.

Did you know? Gentle exercise can have a positive impact on people living with dementia 🚶🏽🧘🏻♀️
Our S Club activity is made up of 4 gentle exercise based activities which we rotate on a weekly basis. All groups are led by qualified instructors and are designed for those living with dementia and their carers.

Our Summer Cycle Challenge is back! 🌞🚲
Cycle 100 miles this September and help people in Jersey living with dementia. You have 30 days to get your miles in, making this the perfect challenge for all to enjoy. You can take the whole month or smash your miles out in 1 day!
All funds raised will allow us to continue supporting islanders affected by dementia. Even just signing up to the challenge helps raise vital funds.

Their fundraising activities include their sponsored walk from JFSC office to Corbiere and back, and dress down days.
