Because we know that some of the most valuable support we receive in life comes from others who have experienced life events similar to our own, Dementia Jersey offers different opportunities for people to meet for mutual support and encouragement and to share knowledge and experiences.
We have a choice of carer support groups available throughout each month. These are held at various times and in different locations around the island, including morning, afternoon and early evening meetings at comfortable locations including the Radisson Blu hotel in town, Ransoms Tea Room in St Martin, Jearey Pearl overlooking St Ouen and at Dementia Jersey’s office at Halkett Place, St Helier. We also hold an informative quarterly evening “Guest Speaker’ meeting at the Monterey Hotel in St Helier.
These are free, friendly, supportive groups, open to anyone supporting or caring for a relative or friend with dementia. They are informal opportunities to meet others over a cup of good coffee.
