Dementia Support Line
Who are these meetings for?
We hold several Carers Support Groups each month. These sessions are held at different dates, times and various locations around the island providing you with a choice to attend either morning, afternoon or evening sessions.
These are free, friendly, supportive groups that are open to anyone supporting or caring for a relative or friend with dementia. They are informal opportunities where you can meet others over a cup of good coffee.
Our carer support meetings can be accessed by:
- Carers of a person with symptoms of dementia
- Carers of a person with dementia living at home
- Carers of a person with dementia living in a care home
- Bereaved carers for up to about a year after the person with dementia has died
Please Note: The Carer Support meetings are for our carers to attend without the person they are caring for. This provides a safe environment for carers to talk freely.
At least one Dementia Advisor will always be available at our Carer Support meetings.
Our activities team run lots of wonderful activities that a person with dementia can attend with their carer.

Why you should join us
We find that some of the most valuable support we receive in life comes from others who have experienced life events similar to our own and these are opportunities for people to meet for mutual support, give encouragement and to share knowledge and experiences.
