About me
Claudine joined Dementia Jersey as CEO in May 2021.
Claudine grew up in Jersey and after graduating worked in the charity sector in the UK for just under 20 years. She has held senior roles for charities including Cancer Research UK, Asthma UK and the National Deaf Children’s Society.
What I love about my job
I care about changing opinion on issues that matter and helping people lead fulfilling lives. Dementia Jersey plays a crucial role in supporting the quality of life and dignity of people with dementia in the local community.
I joined because my grandmother has vascular dementia and my best friend’s dad had Alzheimer’s and I’ve seen how distressing it can be for families. It’s so important families get expert support and advice to help them on their dementia journey.
Did you know
Claudine used to play Slow-pitch Softball for Great Britain and has captained the team at the World Cup, winning a silver medal. When not playing and coaching Softball, she is kept on her toes by her son and likes to keep fit, bake and indulge in a bit of DIY.
