What I love about my job
I love being part of a team which is committed to providing help and support to the people in our community who are facing the challenges that Dementia brings. My role at the Meeting Place Project allows me to meet new people from all walks of life and bring like-minded people together to join in with group sessions that provide brain stimulating activities, reminiscence, thought provoking discussions and exercise.
The sessions aim to build a person’s confidence and boost their sense of wellbeing. Within the group we can reassure people living with dementia that whilst their own situation is unique, they are not alone and as a service we care, and we are here to help.
