Bookkeeper

About me

Born in Luton, I worked as an accounts clerk for a few years until leaving the UK in 1995 to travel to Australia and New Zealand for a year.  While on my travels I heard about Jersey and, in March 1997, I decided to visit Jersey for a year and loved it so much I stayed!

Most of my experience has been gained working in HR and Payroll roles within the Finance Sector and, having always enjoyed working with numbers, I decided to undertake the IAB Bookkeeper qualification in 2017.

What I love about my job

I am delighted to have the opportunity to use my bookkeeping skills and experience to work for Dementia Jersey.  They are a great Charity, and the team work hard to provide support and activities to people with dementia and their carers, family and friends, while continuing to raise awareness of dementia in Jersey.

Did you know

I am from a large Irish family and return ‘home’ regularly and enjoy taking other trips away, when I can.

I attend ballroom lessons and dances with my partner; we’re not Fred and Ginger but it’s fun! I enjoy swimming, Pilates, yoga and walking my rescue dog Molly, a 2-year-old terrier/poodle cross.  I have had an allotment for years, growing mostly flowers and fruit, which keeps me busy.
