I am a Jerseyman, growing up in St Peter. As a child, I lived on a farm with my four sisters and two brothers. From a young age, I was involved with the outdoors, nature and wildlife, which have been themes throughout my life. I have worked as a tree surgeon and a gardener during my career.

My family is very creative, and I enjoy art and photography. I am unusual in being the first Jerseyman to play the bagpipes in the Jersey Caledonian Pipe Band! Music is important to me, and I can also play the piano, accordion, and mouth organ.

Outside of my creative hobbies, I nurse seedlings in my greenhouses, take part in some Dementia Jersey activities, attend St Bernadette’s Church, and am the nominated cook in our home (though my wife does the clearing up!).
