Dementia Support Line
I was born in Jersey. I live with my husband Noel, and have six children – David, Melissa, Kieran, Terry, Ashley, and Kayleigh. I am also now blessed with many grandchildren.
For most of my working life, I was employed in the motor trade, working both as a receptionist and a secretary. Later, I took on a Health Care Assistant role at Overdale. After a stroke in 2021, which entailed both a blood clot and brain bleed, I was left with Vascular Cognitive Impairment (VCI).
Today, my main passion is reading, and I also I attend the Meeting Place Project with Dementia Jersey to keep my brain active. Until recently, I had a beloved rescue dog, named JoJo. She features in the photographs for this exhibition. I was lucky to have the opportunity to capture some happy times with her at our usual walking spot near Kempt Tower, less than a week before she passed away.
