Dementia Jersey's Best Practice Dementia Care (BPDC)

Join us for our Best Practice Dementia Care course to gain insights into dementia and person-centred approaches – and earn six CPD points along the way.

This one-day intensive session will assist learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of dementia and how to care for those living with dementia in a way that minimises barriers and maximises dignity. The course is delivered face-to-face by Dementia Jersey. Attendees must complete the entire day in order to achieve a certificate of attendance and gain CPD points.

£75pp to include a sandwich lunch.

An overview of different types of dementias, including their presentation and causes
The importance of appropriate and stimulating past-times
Dementia-friendly environments
Legal and ethical considerations
Positive communication methods
Opportunities to enhance personal agency for people with dementia.
